Join our collaborative Coding Circle where peers meet on Google Meet twice a week to talk code, share projects, review each other's solutions, and fix bugs together. Sessions emphasize practical problem‑solving, code reviews, and show‑and‑tell time for anything you built. Whether you're a complete beginner or advancing your skills, this circle adapts to your goals and language of choice.

Agenda Outline (each 2‑hour class)
Session A
- 0:00–0:10Intro and coding discussion
- 0:10–0:55Skill Dive: short lesson based on group request (e.g., APIs, AI, git)
- 0:55–1:30Apply: implement the concept in a group or individual project
- 1:30–1:50If extra time, continue working on group or individual project
- 1:50–2:00Wrap‑up and specify homework
Session B
- 0:00–0:10Welcome, quick icebreaker
- 0:10–0:30Show & Tell: demo what you built, share any errors
- 0:30–0:50Code Reviews: give/receive feedback on others projects
- 0:50–1:40Supervised Coding Time: build a project independently or work together on a group project
- 1:40–2:00Wrap‑up, specify homework and vote on lesson to be taught for next session
Schedule
Times are a sample and can shift based on group availability. Google Meet links are sent after you join.
What You'll Need

A modern computer (2018 or newer, ideally 2020+) with a stable Internet connection and a coding IDE installed
(Cursor recommended)
- Typing (doesn't have to be perfect - it just has to work) and using a mouse
- We expect students to demonstrate appropriate behavior:

Meet the Instructor
Hawken Parkman (7th grade) brings 5+ years of coding experience and a passion for teaching. Having taught weekly Python classes at school and a python camp, Hawken knows how to make programming accessible and fun for students of all ages. The small group format ensures personalized attention while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
